Damien Foundation is a Belgian, national, pluralist, and non-political, International NGO. It is established in 1964 with a dedication to fight against Tuberculosis and Leprosy until these are no longer a threat to public health. This Foundation is a member of the International Federation of Anti-Leprosy Association [ILEP] which coordinate the activities of the organizations active in the field of leprosy control and care worldwide.
The foundation is active in 14 countries of Asia [Nepal, India, and Bangladesh], Africa [DR of Congo, Burundi, Nigeria, Niger, Guinea, Comoros & Senegal], America [Nicaragua, Guatemala & Bolivia] and Europe [Belgium].
Damien Foundation started its journey in Nepal in November 2016. Damien Foundation Belgium office is recognized in Nepal as an INGO in accordance with the Social Welfare Act,1992 to work in Nepal for development activities. The mission of DFB is to fight against poverty related diseases like tuberculosis and leprosy which required a well- structured long-term approach. Foundation has focused its activities in 9 districts i.e Nawalparasi-Bardaghat-Susta- East, Nawalparasi-Bardaghat-Susta-West, Rupandehi, Kapilbastu, Banke, Bardiya, Kailali, Kanchanpur and Dadeldhura.
The Foundation has been completed its 5 years first phase Project Agreement. So, DFB Nepal office invites interested organizations to submit Expression of Interest [EoI] for its program in Gandaki Province, [Nawalparasi-Bardaghat-Susta-East], Lumbini Province [Nawalparasi- Bardaght-Susta-West, Rupendehi, Kapilbastu, Banke & Bardiya], Sudur Pachim Province [ Kailali, Kanchanpur and Dadeldhura] of Nepal, related to the Leprosy and Tuberculosis control poverty related diseases and works to make a difference through targeted medical interventions and social reintegration of people affected by the both diseases.
This call for Expression of Interest [EoI] is open to all existing and or new partners who have at least two-year experience working in field of Leprosy and Tuberculosis and wish to participate in DFB’s operations in the above-named areas in 2022 to 2024, participating in achieving common goals and objectives.
Based on EoI received DFB Nepal Office will select the most suitable and capable partners for the relevant sectors and areas. Existing partner organizations will be given more priority to apply and selection process.
