Ensuring continuity of TB/Leprosy OPD and Inpatient and lab services as well as treatment even during lock down and shut down in DF supported clinics/centers.

Follow up patients by phone for those who cannot visit health facilities

Providing PPE and material support to Health facilities, TB/Leprosy Clinics, COVID hospitals.

Cloth masks and soaps to TB/Leprosy patients and their families. Coordinating with local government for relief support to the poor TB/Leprosy patients

DR TB Ward converted into isolation blocks for COVID response while adjusting TB Services in Dadeldhura hospital.

In total 3150 families of TB/MDR TB/Leprosy patients or Leprosy affected persons families will be supported with masks and soaps (Sanitation and Hygiene) during the year.

Current DR TB Centers and Leprosy Clinics run by government and NGOS are strengthened through Infection prevention control measures. It will also help ensure TB/DR TB and Leprosy services smoothly. ( 7 clinics in total) COVID 19 Hospitals/ COVID 19 clinics run by federal, province or local government as enlisted were also provided with essential equipment and materials for COVID response.

Mainly, PPE, N95 masks, sanitizers, gloves, surgical masks, cloth masks, IR Thermometers, UV cabinets, hand wash, soaps, etc. were provided as a part of COVID Response support by Damien Foundation Nepal.The support was provided to Waling municipality, Gaindakot municipality, Kawaswoti municipality, Godavari municipality, Regional TB Center, Pokhara , Partnership for New Life, Butwal, TB/Leprosy Clinic, Lumbini Provincial Hospital, Nepalgunj TB/Leprosy Referral Center, Nepalgunj, Laxmi Narayan TB Treatment, Referral and Research Center, Kailali, TB/Leprosy Clinic, Seti Provincial hospital, TB/Leprosy clinic, Dadeldhura Hospital. In addition, the COVID Response items were also provided to Bharatpur hospital and Surkhet Provincial hospital (via Province Health Directorate), Surkhet.

Besides, the focus was to ensure uninterrupted TB/Leprosy services at Damien Foundation supported TB/Leprosy clinics/ Referral Centers.
